First of all, it’s Tuesday, November 8, so go and vote. Seriously. Wherever you live, whatever you believe, go and make your voice heard. And, wherever you live, whatever you believe, just vote Democrat all the way down the ticket. The other guys want to take away your basic human rights. So, you know, vote against, even if you’re uncomfortable with other things the Dems want. None of those things will end up with people losing autonomy of their own bodies. So, for the next eight years, just vote blue.
The weird thing is? Voting Dem will make it easier to break into entertainment as a writer. I am completely serious. We’ll get into it another time.
Sometimes these things just don’t go as planned. A third panelist just didn’t show up for this recording. Nonetheless, Erica Saleh (creator/showrunner, One of Us Is Lying) and Yulin Kuang (creator, I Ship It; upcoming: People We Meet On Vacation) battle technical difficulties and interruptions to bring some great advice about pitching and what general meetings are good for.
PLUS: I wanted to give you some more bang for your free podcast buck, so I’ve included selections from Q&A with C. Robert Cargill (The Black Phone; Dr Strange) last month. It was so good!
