The Most Alive Dead Pilot
Just a quick note to tell you that you have until Sept 30 to watch the Dead Pilots Society show that we did a couple of weeks ago. This was a truly special afternoon. Two terrific scripts, incredible performances, deeply hilarious. The first one, Dream by Lisa Muse Bryant (The Four Seasons) got a standing ovation! But of course it did. Check out Amber Riley (Glee) in the lead role:
And the second script by Jim Brandon & Brian Singleton (Animal Control; Mixed-ish) is very much my shit. It’s about a human zoo! Here’s a clip with the very funny Dan Gregor (co-writer of The Naked Gun) and Dropout’s Jessica McKenna:
I would also highly recommend checking out our most recent podcast episode, a reading of dead pilot The Cheap Seats by David S. Rosenthal (Spin City; Gilmore Girls). It’s a terrific, hilarious multi-cam comedy. The very small cast has this incredible chemistry, and it was truly such a pleasure to watch them all bounce off of each other. I’m very proud of the casting on this one!
It’s got Anjelica Fellini (Teenage Bounty Hunters, The French Dispatch), Sam Lerner (The Goldbergs), Charlie Gillespie (Julie and the Phantoms), Ciara Bravo (Wayne, Cherry), Kyla Kenedy (Mr. Mayor), and Logan Miller (Escape Room, Chicago Med). They’re all so cute!
It’s available wherever you get your podcasts, but here’s the Spotify link.
The First Cut
In today’s Writers Panel pod, Nnamdi Asomugha (director/co-writer, The Knife) discusses going from playing in the NFL to becoming an actor and now writer and producer, embracing new skills, imposter syndrome, teamwork, and just how hard it really is to get a movie out into the world.

"Come see the humans. They jump. They sing. They cry." It's insulting how accurate this is. Both pilots were so great, as always, thanks for the streaming option!
