Live shows!
As I mention at the top of today’s episode, I’ve got a bunch of fun live shows coming up in the next few months.
First up is a live Dead Pilots Society, the podcast I produce in which scripts that were developed by studios and networks but were never produced are given the table reads they deserve.
Our September 14, 2-4pm, show features two of the best scripts we’ve done, I think. Dream is a musical comedy by Lisa Muse Bryant (The Four Seasons; Black-ish) and Humans of the Americas by Jim Brandon & Brian Singleton (Animal Control; Mixed-ish) is about a human zoo!
We’re putting together an incredible cast for these reads, including Amber Riley (Glee), Yvette Nicole Brown (Community), Kyla Pratt (One on One, Dan Gregor (The Naked Gun co-writer), Phil Lamarr (King of the Hill; Futurama), Marcel Spears (The Neighborhood), Brian Safi (Throwing Shade), Jessica McKenna (Dropout), Stakiah Lynne Washington (Primo), and more.
You can attend or watch on demand. GET TICKETS HERE.

And as I’ve mentioned here before, we have our final Thrilling Adventure Hour shows of our 20th anniversary tour.
Sunday October 26 at 6pm and 8:30pm (two different shows) at the Bell House in Brooklyn and Saturday at 9:30pm at the Leicester Square Theater in London.
Our whole cast will be in attendance, including Paul F. Tompkins, Marc Evan Jackson, Busy Philipps, Paget Brewster, Joshua Malina, as well as some of our NY family like John Hodgman and Shannon Woodward. And in London, we’ve got a few surprise guests!
Funny / “Funny”
Thrilled to talk to the creators of two of the best shows on TV for today’s podcast.
First, Jen Statsky (co-creator, Hacks) returns to discuss maintaining the high quality of the show four seasons in, staying honest while staying funny, season 4's big emotional moments, Carol Burnett, being raised by television, and more.
Then, Severance creator Dan Erickson discusses the challenges of season 2, finding "things you can only do on this show," early comedy influences, "Bad Pitch Mondays," and more.
Don’t skip this one.

You're spoiling us!
From the trash heap, dusted off, and pitched the story on AGT, Garbage Got Talent, GGT. Like walking a path and finding a gold nugget.
